During Destination 2014, we did a session on the benefits of using infographics in education
The session was primarily about curating infographics, but in doing research for the session, I ran across a free, web-based infographic generator called infogr.am. The idea behind this tool is that you can choose a pre-made template, fill it with your own data, do a little customization of the presentation, and the tool produces a cloud-based, embeddable infographic. I created this example after about 10 minutes of playing around.
After sharing this information with my dean, Wendy Givoglu, she revealed that she had to use a similar tool in her Texts and Technology track at the University of Central Florida. The tool she used is called Piktochart, and she used it to create this:
