Postsecondary Readiness Test (PERT)

Posted by & filed under Education.

Retrieved from Florida Department of Education. This information is crucial to the many students who must pass the Postsecondary Readiness Test (PERT). Unfortunately, there is a significant number of students who cannot pass the PERT and are placed into developmental courses. The Developmental course sequence takes from one to eight semesters to complete, consequently, students are not earning college credit for approximately one year. The crux of this problem is that those students who receive financial aid using Bright Futures have extended their college completion from 2 ½ years to 3 ½ years.
