This starts with a movie review by the critic from The new Yorker Magazine discussing Godzilla from the 1956 version to the most recent remake. A point here is what underlies the movies. In 1956 we feared the BOMB and as such a Cold War ensued. Today the question posed is, What does Godzilla represent to a new young audience that has never experienced a Cold War? So if you are discussing the fall out of the Atomic Bomb in class, then how did early movie goers experience GODZILLA?
