Action Required

Looking for a way to make sure you don’t miss your most important emails? You might want to try setting up a rule in Outlook that sends you a text message alerting you to when those important “Action Required” emails come in.

If you are like me, you get a lot of emails. So perhaps, like me,  you have developed an email reading strategy where you set aside work time to read your emails in the morning or in the evening (Otherwise you would be reading and responding to emails all day and never getting anything done). Well, what happens if you get an important “Action Required” email and you don’t plan to check your emails again until the next day? What happens if that email comes in late on a Friday, and you don’t check your emails again until the next Monday? Well, by using the rule feature in Microsoft Outlook, you can set up Outlook to look for emails from key people or with specific subject keywords and then forward those emails as text messages to your phone (Standard Rates May Apply – I always wanted to have a reason to say that ;). Anyways, this trick will help to alert you to those important “Action Required” emails that you don’t want to miss. Enjoy
