While at TEDLive 2013, I saw an amazing presentation on superhydrophobic chemicals, chemicals that are really afraid of water. In a recent Caffine Buzz, I a saw the video below on Rainworks and how this young artist from Seattle was making interesting works of art with the same product.
As I watched the video, I couldn’t help but think about Jane McGonigal’s book, Reality is Broken. In the book, Visionary game designer Jane McGonigal reveals how we can harness the power of games to solve real-world problems and boost global happiness. As I watched the Rain works video. I couldn’t help but think… How could we gamify learning around campus using by using Rainworks art? We do live in Florida. It does rain quite a bit. How could we make rainy days better by adding some gamification and some fun learning?
