I recently read an article in the New York Times titled What Google Learned From Its Quest to Build the Perfect Team. Interested in the topic, I then found the Google Re-Work post The five keys to a successful Google team. Long Story short, researchers at Google spent over two years conducting 200+ interviews with the employees and looking at more than 250 attributes of 180+ active Google teams. What stood out? Well, as it turns out, Psychological Safety or the ability to take risks without feeling embarrassed or insecure is the key ingredient in successful groups. Here are the top five ingredients of effective groups at Google.
