Calendar – The Calendar is a great way to view everything you have to do for all your courses in one place. You can view calendar events by day, week, month, or agenda list. The calendar also includes access to the Scheduler, which is an optional scheduling tool in Canvas.
Permanent Clipboard allows you to save browser clipboard elements with friendly names at your fingertips. Now you can store things like common comments, feedback and instructions to enhance your work as a teacher.
One Click Timer – is a great tool for using a timer on any Google Tab or G-Suite application. It is fully adjustable and incredibly easy to use and great for a classroom timer. Don’t let time get away from you. Save time with this easy to use tool.
Attendance tool – The Attendance (Roll Call) tool is an external app (LTI) used for taking attendance in Canvas courses. The Attendance tool can be used for online or face-to-face courses.
First Fives – What are you doing during the first five minutes of your class? Why is the first five minutes so important? Some teachers have started having students submit work or answers to questions during the first five minutes of class rather than taking roll. How can you use the canvas student app in your classroom? By taking advantage of the Graded Survey feature in canvas, you can let students check in to class with First Five assignments.
SpeedGrader – As an instructor, SpeedGrader allows you to view and grade student assignment submissions in one place using a simple point scale or complex rubric. Canvas accepts a variety of document formats and even URLs as assignment submissions. Some document assignments can be marked up for feedback directly within the submission. You can also provide feedback to your students with text or media comments.
The Canvas Instructuregogy Project is currently being built, and we haven’t had a chance to get everything linked up and ready for prime time, but we will have more up soon. Please check back to learn more about…
